Frequently Asked Questions
Are these treatments painful?
Healing occurs best when the body doesn’t feel threatened. With this in mind, our goal is to facilitate as much restoration of movement, posture, and function as possible all while avoiding increasing pain levels. “No pain no gain” has been replaced with “no challenge no change” as we work with your nervous system in order to repattern your body into a state of confidence.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no “one size fits all” approach to healing. Each person, and each struggle is unique. Sometimes, a single session is enough to turn the tide in a lifelong battle, though more often a series of treatments is to be expected. Since every case is unique, progress is measured on a week by week basis - patients are encouraged to find the frequency of treatments that works best with their circumstances. A general goal is to have a pretty solid trajectory of recovery and functional growth within 6 visits.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not bill insurance, but a superbill (medical receipt) can be given at the patient’s request which can then be submitted to an insurance provider for possible reimbursement of services paid for. HSA’s, however, do usually approve treatments. We accept all major credit/debit cards, cash, and checks. With prices starting as low as $60 per session, affordability is a primary goal here at Uplifted - we want your well-being within a reasonable reach.
Can I go ahead and book my appointment?
Yes, you can schedule online and fill out the given forms. If you have any particular concerns as to whether or not you are a good candidate for treatment, feel free to go to our contact page and email us or submit your questions.
How should I prepare for my session?
For a Neuropedic Massage session, it is advised you come dressed in athletic clothing or something that is easy to move in as sessions typically include movement assessments and some exercise if appropriate. SoftWave requires direct skin contact, so wearing clothing that makes the region to be treated easily accessible is preferred, otherwise your therapist can drape you the same way as a standard massage. Breathwork sessions are focused on retraining breath and repatterning emotional well-being so comfortable clothing is ideal.
